I specialize in Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) - a very simple, yet effective therapy which relieves all types kinds of muscular pain! took my first Active Isolated Stretch class in 2003 and have 95 hours of training in this amazing therapy. It is for all ages, at any fitness level! Muscular pain leads to many ailments and this therapy repairs and rejuvenates the muscle itself.
In addition to using AIS throughout your therapeutic massage, my objective is also to teach you how to do this yourself, so you can take your wellness into your own hands at-home! I wrote a book, Stretch Your Pain Away in 10 Minutes a Day, that explains these healing stretches, featuring my 87-year-young Mom demonstrating this amazing therapy. I also created a step-by-step Stretch DVD that you can follow in less than an hour a day.
AIS allows the body to repair itself and also to prepare for daily activity. The technique involves the method of holding each stretch for only two seconds. This method of stretching is also known to work with the body's natural physiological makeup to improve circulation and increase the elasticity of muscle joints and fascia.
As we age, our muscles become increasingly stiff and painful. AIS can make substantial improvements in muscle elasticity, adding renewed life and spring to tired out old muscles.
